In the early morning hours of January 15th 2006, NASA's Stardust mission successfully re-entered Earth's atmosphere and landed in the salt flat desert of northwestern Utah. This sample/return capsule contained both cometary and interstellar particles that scientists will study for years.

Scores of people in the western United States witnessed the spacecraft's re-entry and described what they saw to NASA. This page collects their reports and shows their varied locations.
